Falling in love with photography came easy for me. I was ready for some creativity. Some quick things about where I came from.
From Dallas Texas (I love Texas and that whole bit), went to a very small school kindergarten to senior year (yes same school). I was a collegiate cheerleader at Texas Tech University, met my handsome husband there (he played football, and yes, we realize the cheesiness of that situation) and then I was a high-heeled wearing equities trader for a hedge fund for the few years between college and motherhood. I loved that job; I thought it was pretty cool. Motherhood changed my life and my passion became my children. Photography became a natural extension of capturing my children’s life moments. The type A in me couldn’t just settle for mediocracy. I know numbers and I want to know why my camera is doing what it is doing! Several hundred hours later of classes, workshops, reading and seminars… here I sit with my Canon camera (I’m a big time Canon girl) in front of my imac (I’m a big time Mac girl). Actually a teacher nicknamed me that once… Mac girl.
So what is in my bag?? The Canon 5D Mark II, 24-70 2.8, and the 70-200 2.8 IS…
